Synopsis: The title of the reflection might sound sarcastic to some, but I think it only seems that way if you see the world as some form of cosmic joke. Rather, if we see the world and its cosmos as some form of divine message, which we must faithfully toil to interpret, then I think we begin to sense that it’s not a question of what we might be grateful for, or what we might do to demonstrate our thanks for creation, but to work toward making our Creator grateful for us.
