Synopsis: Today’s Gospel passage is often referred to as the “The Little Apocalypse” because it reveals the beginning of the destruction of an old order so that a new one might arise. But Jesus warns us – the disciples – not to be “led astray.” By whom, we may wonder? False prophets is the common assumption, but just possibly it’s our own desire for security at the expense of the Commandment to reach out with love to all God’s creation.
