Synopsis: From the days of God’s covenant with Abraham –“ancestor of a multitude of nations” – to the “new covenant” announced by the Christ in the hours before his crucifixion, we have run from the one condition God offers in return for the promise of our renewal – love for God and our fellow human being. But no matter how far or long we run, our God keeps coming back for us.  Can this be our Lenten discovery of hope?
