Synopsis: We like to criticize the Apostle Paul for all of the shortcomings of the New Testament. His Epistles are the earliest known writings and inform much of the corpus. In his last-known Epistle, written to Philemon of the Colossian Church, he pleads on behalf of a runaway slave. If he’d only been more direct critics say. Could it be that Paul used the only means possible to create real and lasting change?
