Synopsis:  In Paul’s First letter to the Corinthians he calls on Christians to accept the “foolishness” of believing in Christianity, not once but four times in ten verses.  And doesn’t it seem rational that Jesus’ “Sermon on the Mount,” from Matthew, seems irrational for the world we live in.  But that’s what God calls us to do; take very seriously what may appear at first to be foolish.  That’s the essence of faith!
