Synopsis: Pride was understood as a mortal sin in early Christian times, but evolved through time to be an attribute of self-esteem. It’s the symbol for this month for our LGBTQ+ community. Pride can be an essential part of rising out of exploitation and marginalization, but in the extreme can still be a stumbling block to experiencing and expressing the love for our neighbors and our God.
